Depressed Superheroes

This work of seven shootings has been presented in the temporary art exhbition Welcome to Paridise which took place in Modica in 2013 .

The theme of vanity has been interpreted by twenty authors and artists using different forms of expression.

This representation of the depressed superheroes is simply an ironic metaphor of the identity crisis of the western people.

Confusion, discouragment, fatigue, discomfort and apathy are all emotional states which most of us live with on a daily basis.

The background of these shootings are urban places , their realisation is made with the idea of an authentic reportage, as shown by the natural light, engagement of third parties , actors who in reaility are not actors but are instead ordinary people playing the role of the depressed superheroe.

Questo lavoro in 7 scatti e' stato presentato all'interno della estemporanea d'arte "Welcome to paradise 3" tenutasi nel 2013 a Modica.

Il tema dell' edizione "la Vanita'", e' stato interpretato con varie forme espressive da circa venti autori.

Questa rappresentazione dei Supereroi depressi e' piu' semplicemente una ironica metafora della crisi di identita' dell'uomo occidentale.

Il disorientamento, lo sconforto, la stanchezza, il disagio, l'apatia sono stati d'animo che molto comunemente gran parte di noi sta' quotidianamente vivendo.

Gli scatti che ho fatto sono set in ambienti urbani, la realizzazione e' stata fatta con l'idea di un autentico reportage, luce naturale, coinvolgimento inaspettato anche di terze persone, attori non attori, ma persone qualunque calate nella parte del supereroe depresso.
